The One With Catchin' Up Week..

Hey y'all!  Can y'all believe that it's Monday again, and it's back to school/work time ?!?  Ahhhh...well, I can't complain too much.  A weekend of concert, beaches, good ol' homecooked meals, and great company...I guess it's time for me to just buckle down and get back to the groove of working and such.  But before I do such things, I'm going to allow myself some procrastination time and get y'all caught up on my weekend.....

Pretty much around Thursday afternoon the only thing going through my mind was to get my Chemistry Lab done as soon as possible and just get out of there to start my weekend.  I had things to do, people to meet, and the last thing I wanted to do was spend two hours of my life mixing solutions and watching the gauge on the spectrophotometer go bonkers.  Of course, being all excited as I was, things didn't go exactly my way, and as I stood in the lab watching the experiments go down as a total failure, all I could think about was how I wanted to just "run through the halls of the Jones building."  Oh, how I wanted to "scream at the top of my lungs!!!"  And oh, YES!  the John Mayer Concert was that night!  I could barely keep my focus all day.  A supposed "early birthday" for himself, which turned out to be actually my "surprise" early Valentines gift, my boyfriend took me to see the John Mayer concert at the Colonial Center.  Can you say awesome or what?!?  I've always been in love with John Mayer from the beginning, and to finally see a concert of his...totally cool!

Then Friday came.  Fortunately, I only had two classes--Physics and Chemistry.  I could hardly keep focus on both classes as usual, but the fact that soon after I get out both classes I would be going to Surfside Beach for the weekend just didn't help at all either.  My boyfriend's birthday is actually today and his dad's was last Monday, so we went to his home for the weekend to have a big birthday weekend celebration.  I'm not going to go into all the details, but it took some long, hard convincing of my parents before approval for this trip was granted...so the trip was a much anticipated one!  I was definitely very excited for it.  I've never been to Surfside before and have only been to Myrtle Beach, and I'd have to say that I definitely like the former than the latter.  It probably does make a difference that it's winter time and that there were barely any people at the beach, but more than that, Surfside is just very un-touristy.  Anyways, it was just a great weekend.  I've never really spent that much time with my boyfriend's parents, so I got to know them really well.  It was a really nice weekend getaway--and like I said, all the homecooked meals, the beaches, and the great company...it all made for a very nice mini-vacation.

But of course, Mondays always come after Sundays.  A new week is up ahead, and unfortunately being about a third of the way into the semester, it only means one thing--EXAM/TESTS TIME!)  Thirty minutes of catching y'all up is enough procrastination that I've rewarded myself...I suppose it's time to get cracking on them books!

Here's to wishing y'all a great week up ahead...hopefully y'all had a great weekend too!  Catch y'all on the flipside, future Gamecocks!
