The Time is Now
College is the time for one to explore interests, find new passions, meet people and figure out how to spend the rest of one's life. For me, I have explored, found, met and I am working on the future part. I came to USC for the #1 International Business Program and as I'm at home for my last Christmas break as a college student I realize how much I have truly learned during my tenure at the University of South Carolina.
USC has allowed me to take a class in a variety of subjects including all facets of business, political science, and psychology to name a few. From every course I have learned new material, met fellow Gamecocks, and learned more about myself. USC has also allowed me access to the most impressive work out facility I've ever seen - the Strom Thurmond. Over the past three and a half years I have participated in a variety of intramural sports, lifted weights, played pick-up basketball, climbed the rock wall and so much more. Of course, through all of these activities I have had time to create life long healthy habits and meet people with similar interests. Even without a car, I have had an enjoyable and memorable time at USC.
I have been fortunate enough to live on campus which has taught me how to share a room, clean a bathroom, do my own laundry and more about my personality. I am a better person for learning how to live with random people. Forunately for me, I have a roommate this year that is easy-going and likes to go to the gym as much as I do. I am also lucky that we are both very forward with each other about things that we like and do not like in our apartment.
Having an open mind in college (and in life) is so important and it is something I would recommend to every student looking forward to attending college. I highly suggest trying everything that piques your interest because there isn't a better time than the present. I love USC and I'm looking forward to the experiences I will endure during my last semester as a USC student.
